Born and raised on the waterways and marshland south of Charleston, South Carolina, Ed spent his childhood hunting, fishing and actively participating in all sports. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and marketing, he moved to Palm Beach in 1986 to work with Ocean Yachts of Palm Beach. After only 3 years, Ed was managing the operation and individually sold 30 new Ocean Yachts in 1990. 1992 brought the opportunity to open his own brokerage, Sea Island Yacht Sales Charleston, and Singer Island Yacht Sales Palm Beach. He has been a dealer for many lines over the years including Ocean Yachts, Tiara, Luhrs and Venture boats.
Ed decided to move back to the Charleston area in 2007 and lives with his wife and daughter on their Johns Island farm. Although living in SC, he travels to our Palm Beach office many times a month to manage, buy and sell our South Florida clientsâ yachts.
We are currently in the process of merging our 35-year operation with WAVE Marine Group of South Florida to give our clients better exposure and access to the materials and services offered from the Carolinas to South Florida.
